Lifestyle Medicine Tips for Your July 4th Celebrations

Happy 4th of July from my family to yours! I echo the following words of wisdom from my colleagues over at the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM): Celebrate the birth of our nation while practicing a few key lifestyle medicine pillars!


1. Connect with family and friends.

2. Share a healthy, happy, plant-based meal.

3. Celebrate responsibly.

4. Relax and get 8-hours of sleep.

5. Go outside for a walk, run, hike or swim!

Let these daily, lifestyle choices be the default ones. I wish you a positive, stress-free, and healthy July 4th weekend!
