Sex, conception and the misinformation swirling around it can be somewhat mysterious.

Can you get pregnant, for instance, if you’re breastfeeding? What if the woman doesn’t have an orgasm? Can condoms cause erectile dysfunction?

In Episode 26, I, along with my guests--Kyle Kiriluk, M.D., with UroPartners LLC. and Emilie McLain, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, with The Wright Center for Women's Health, answer those questions and more.

Domestic abuse isn’t just a private, personal matter — it can be just as pervasive in our workplaces, schools and neighborhoods.

It’s not limited to romantically involved partners. It can happen in a variety of relationships — between child and parent or boss and employee, for example.

In fact, there’s a good chance that someone you’re close to — a friend, neighbor, sibling, co-worker — has experienced it in the past or is dealing with it now.

Episode 25, "Spotting signs of emotional abuse and ways to respond," is important for everyone to hear. In this episode my guests, Gillian Schmitz, M.D., FACEP, president of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), and Jason Morris, PsyD, CDP, owner of Platinum Psychology Services, and I explain the behavior associated with emotional abuse, how to recognize the signs of emotional abuse and identify key resources to help people break free from it.
